Love Auckland stories and really we should have more of them. The mid age breakdown in this graphic novel is graphic. How the man remakes himself is pure entertainment. An irresistible read
I really enjoyed this story about a man whose life unravels after an accident, forcing him to face up to his own personal demons, grow up, and figure out what kind of life he wants to lead. If you know Auckland, it is fun to see local landmarks in the story, but the story is not at all bounded by location.
Book did not live up to reviews or any recommendations. Won't be going back to this author any time soon.
The Fall of Light is a beautifully crafted, evocative story. Every word is there for a reason, and the prose is as polished as Rudy's glass cities. The illustrations are literally and figuratively a fantastic touch. Highly recommended.
